(GSM) – The second place in the Belgian Pro League is almost in the pocket for Club Brugge following a 3-0 win over Zulte-Waregem.
Brugge were helped by an own goal from Miguel Dachelet after 30 minutes and Jeroen Simaeys doubled the gap shortly before the break.
The third and final goal came from Dorge Kouemaha in the 58th minute.
Brugge’s main rivals Gent were held to a 1-1 draw at Sint-Truiden, despite opening the scoring through Christophe Grondin in the tenth minute.
Sint-Truiden knew that a draw would secure their fourth place and that is exactly what they got as Sebastien Siani levelled with six minutes to go.
Brugge are now three points ahead of Gent, but the two face each other in their final game on Saturday.
In Wednesday’s remaining match, champions Anderlecht earned a 1-3 win at Kortrijk.
