On-loan Hamburg defender Jeffrey Bruma says he does not want to return to parent club Chelsea at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old joined Chelsea in 2009 but made only a handful of appearances before being loaned out to Leicester City and then to the German side for a two-year stint.
Chelsea have the option to recall the youngster at the end of the season, should they wish to.
But Bruma – who has made 14 appearances for the Bundesliga club – wants to continue his learning process in Germany.
“It was my dream to win a first-team place by 21,” Bruma told The Sunday Mirror.
“But you must play. At Chelsea it does not look like the chance is coming.”
Dutchman Bruma has also represented the Netherlands at under-19, under-21 and senior international levels.
