Bruno Guimaraes is ready to leave Newcastle United in the January transfer window, according to The Times. The report has claimed that defending Premier League champions Manchester City are keen on Guimaraes, and that the Brazil international midfielder himself is willing to move to the Etihad Stadium.
The Times has claimed that Guimaraes is open to a switch to City either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2025. The Citizens were keen on a deal for the 27-year-old in the summer of 2024. Guimaraes has been on the books of Newcastle since 2022 and has established himself as one of the best players in manager Eddie Howe’s side, who are interested in signing Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window.
Guimaraes has made 101 appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle so far in his career. The Newcastle midfielder has scored 16 goals and given 17 assists in those games.
