Bruno Labbadia is the new head coach of German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. This was revealed by the club on Monday.

The former Bayern Munich player came from 2.Bundesliga team SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

Leverkusen had been looking for a replacement since sacking Michael Skibbe last week. This as result of finishing the season in a disappointing seventh position and missing out on European football.

Labbadia began his career as manager in 2003 at Darmstadt 98, and moved to Greuther Fürth two years ago.
