Portuguese newspaper O Jogo understands that Benfica midfielder Bryan Cristante could be leaving for greener pastures at the end of the season.
The highly rated footballer was loaned to Atalanta last summer, and the Orobici have the option to make the transfer permanent for €4 million.
Given that Cristante is currently valued at €25 million, the Serie A side are certain to exercise said clause, but, oddly enough, they are hoping for a discount.
Namely, Atalanta are ready to surrender Benfica a certain percentage of the player’s economic rights in exchange for a lower transfer fee and chances are the Eagles will happily accept such an arrangement.
Following Cristante’s impressive start to the new season that saw him score 5 goals in 14 competitive outings, Inter Milan and Juventus are hot on his trail.
