Portuguese media outlets A Bola and Record have suggested that Bryan Ruiz is on the verge of leaving Sporting CP.

Together with Douglas, Marvin Zeegelaar and Ezequiel Schelotto, the Costa Rican has been training away from the first team as they are expected to leave the club this summer.

With one year left on his current deal, Sporting CP want €2.5 million for the 32-year-old forward.

Ruiz has fared pretty well since joining the lions from Fulham, having scored 10 goals in 66 Primeira Liga matches.

He now has offers from Standard Liege and unnamed Ligue 1 clubs, so he should have no problems finding a new job.

Ruiz remains one of Costa Rica’s most famous footballers, with 21 goals in 91 outings for the national team.
