Buffon admits Inter deserve their first place

Bianconeri goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon sees the title slipping through Juventus’ fingers and believes the Nerazzurri merit their current standing.

“For now, Inter deserve to be first because in difficult times they won matches with ease,” admitted the Italian international to Sky. “As happens to all the great teams they had a bit of luck and there were some oversights.”

“I hope that Juve can conquer at least one title this year. The closest is the Coppa Italia, the championship title is more important, but also more difficult now,” the 31-year-old shot-stopper concluded.
