Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon feels his side have shown they are a force to be reckoned with in the Champions League.
The Serie A champions sit second in Group E with nine points from five games.
A draw against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday will see them through to the knock-out stages, regardless of whether Chelsea beat Nordsjaelland, due to the Italian side’s superior head-to-head record over the reigning European champions.
“I think our run so far has shown that we should be feared by everyone we come up against,” Buffon said at a press conference.
“Of course, the result (against Shakhtar) and qualification are both fundamental, but the impression we’re giving this year is that we’re back to being competitive on a European level.
“If we play as we’re able to then I believe we have every chance of ending the group unbeaten. We’re ready. It wouldn’t be such a bad thing if we manage to win the group and avoid a handful of potential winners.”
