(GSM) – Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has revealed that he hopes Edin Dzeko will join the Turin giants this summer.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina striker, who has expressed his desire to leave his current employers Wolfsburg, is also being pursued by Manchester City.

But Buffon, who is a huge fan of the forward, is sure that the Old Lady can beat off stiff competition from City to sign the 24-year-old.

Buffon told Tuttosport: “Dzeko is a player that needs no introduction.

“For the past two or three years he has been among the best four or five strikers in Europe.

“He would be a great signing.”
