Buffon pledges his future to Juventus

Amidst speculation linking him with a move to England, Gianluigi Buffon has revealed he has no intention of leaving Juventus.

The Italy international hasn’t played a single game this season due to back injury, but he caused a lot of controversy by rarely appearing at the club’s training ground at Vinovo.

Even though that kind of behaviour added fuel to speculations linking him with Manchester United and Manchester City, the keeper is adamant he won’t be moving clubs.

“It is only normal that my name is always brought up by transfer specialists, as it always makes the headlines,” Buffon said.

“I’d be crazy to leave Juventus, though. In a week I can finally return to the Vinovo ground to train with my teammates.”
