Buffon: There is no €70m offer for me

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon says reports that Manchester City have made a €70 million bid for him is just a fantasy.

Reports in Italian newspapers have suggested City will make a mega bid in order to sign the highly rated goalkeeper.

“There is no €70m offer for me. It’s as simple as that,” said Buffon.

“It’s all just a fantasy. It’s obvious that people would think about such an offer but I don’t think it will arrive.”

Buffon also believes that Juventus are not ready to win the Champions League this season, but insists they will try.

He said: “We are not ready to win the Champions League but we will try and cause problems for the four or five favourite teams.”
