Netherlands travel to the Vasil Levski National Stadium to face Bulgaria in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier, in a game that could be a close affair. The visitors are the favourites given the gulf in class between the squads, but the formidable home form of Bulgaria might see Netherlands settle for a share of the spoils.

Bulgaria are currently fourth in Group A of the World Cup qualification table with six points from four games, having beaten Luxembourg and Belarus while suffering defeats to France and Sweden. On home soil, Bulgaria have a 100% record and they will fancy their chances of getting a result against a Netherlands side far from invincible.

As for the visitors, the Netherlands are second with seven points, coming off the back of wins against Belarus and Luxembourg, a draw with Sweden and defeat to France. Away from home, they were held to Sweden so a strong home showing from Bulgaria could trip them up. The winner of Saturday’s game could end the day in second place but the two sides might cancel each other out.

As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 2/1 for Bulgaria and Netherlands to draw.
