A goal from on-loan Ghanaian midfielder Michael Tawiah four minutes into the second half gave Antoni Zdravkov’s team an important win.
With four games remaining, Kaliakra are a win clear of Akademik Sofia, who sit in the relegation play-off spot.
Chernomorets Burgas are safe from the drop and cannot qualify for Europe, sitting comfortably in eighth.
