After their comprehensive UEFA Champions League victory over Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund return to domestic action against struggling Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions and will be hoping to continue their impressive run of form to all but secure second place in the Bundesliga with a win.
However, with their second leg meeting with Madrid on the horizon their focus may be elsewhere, something that will give Dusseldorf reason to be hopeful.
In-form Robert Lewandowski could be rested for this game, despite scoring 23 goals in 27 appearances in the league this season, and Julian Schieber could be the man to benefit from the Polish striker taking a rest.
Things have not been as promising for Dusseldorf recently; they have only picked up three points out of a possible 24 and have not tasted victory since mid-February.
Their poor run of form has come at the wrong time and has seen the club drop into the relegation battle.
They go into this game only three points clear of the relegation play-off place currently occupied by Augsburg, but they will take encouragement from the fact they were able to hold Dortmund to a draw in their first meeting this season.
