Bundesliga star welcomes Barcelona link
Borussia Moenchengladbach goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen admits he is flattered by the reported interested from Barcelona.
El Mundo Deportivo recently revealed that the Catalans were tracking the 19-year-old keeper, who they see as a natural successor to Victor Valdes.
The player, who conceded just 15 goals in 25 Bundesliga games this term, admits he is proud to be linked with such a great club.
“I would be lying if I were to say that I am not moved by this,” Ter Stegen said in an interview with Sportstudio, a program on German television network ZDF.
“I am honoured to be linked with a club like Barca, but for me right now is only one thing: the next game.”
The Germany Under-21 international is regarded as one of the most promising goalkeepers in Europe and he is also followed by a number of clubs from England, Italy and Germany.
Wenger admits interest in Belhanda
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed reports that Arsenal are interested in signing Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda.
The Gunners boss is looking to further reinforce his midfield in the summer and he believes the Montpellier midfielder would be a great addition to the squad.
The French Ligue 1 side recently opened talks with the player regarded a new contract, but Wenger admits he has been impressed by the Moroccan.
“Younes Belhanda, I know him well,” Wenger wrote in his blog for French Eurosport.
“He plays without any complexities, his real talent is dribbling, passing and he has good technique which can influence any game.”
Wenger confirms that he is interested in signing the player, but only if Montpellier decide to cash in on him.
“I love this player, but I do not want to create problems.
“Montpellier are the ones who will decide if he leaves, once that happens we might look at him but we respect the work done by Montpellier.”
Udinese youngster drops Milan hint
Udinese attacker Luis Muriel claims that he is interested in a move to San Siro, citing AC Milan as his favourite club.
The 20-year-old forward is currently on loan at Lecce and he has helped Salentini keep their survival hopes alive by scoring three goals in last four matches.
Muriel is seen as one of the hottest prospects in Serie A and is likely to return to Udinese at the end of the season, but the player claims that he would be interested in joining AC Milan in the future.
“I really like Milan. However, I am focusing on Lecce for now,” Muriel was quoted as saying in Tuttosport.
The Colombian forward arrived to Udinese from Deportivo Cali, but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Zebrette.
After spending last season on loan at Granada, Muriel was farmed out to Lecce last summer and the youngster has really impressed at Via del Mare, scoring 5 goals in 18 Serie A games.
