Bundesliga clubs Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund announced Sunday they were exchanging their respective strikers Mohamed Zidan and Mladen Petric.

“I’m really delighted to be able to play for Hamburg now,” said Croatian international Petric.

Egypt’s Zidan, 26, added: “Of course it’s a bit of a pity that I’m leaving Hamburg and the club but I think it’s a good decision for me. I need to play and to continue to develop.”

Petric will be officially presented when he returns from Maribor where Croatia play Slovenia on Thursday.
