Competition: Premier League
Market: Burnley win
Odds: 7/5 @ Bet 365
Desperate to extend their buffer over the relegation zone, Burnley will welcome Fulham to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
Starting with Sean Dyche’s Burnley side, after managing to find a way out of the relegation zone, the Clarets are enjoying quite the resurge. Now winning their last three matches on the bounce, there appears to be a new found optimism around Turf Moor. Also shipping one goal in over 300 minutes of football, one man to watch for the hosts will be New Zealand international Chris Wood. Scoring the goal to book Burnley’s spot in the fourth round last week, the former Leeds man has now bagged three goals in his last three appearances. Given the hosts’ recent turnaround, they should be relishing Fulham’s arrival this weekend.
As for the visitors, after crashing out of the FA Cup at the hands of lower league Oldham last Saturday, Claudio Ranieri remains in a very tricky situation. Now losing their last two matches on the bounce, shipping six goals, the Cottagers have now managed to pick up just one win in their last nine outings. Along with holding the worst defensive record in the Premier League, it is also worth noting Fulham’s woeful record away from Craven Cottage. The Whites are yet to pick up a single win away from West London this season.
