Burnley eye Onuoha

Burnley are eyeing a move for Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha, according to the Mail Online.

The Lancashire club are looking to strengthen their squad as they aim to maintain their impressive start to the campaign though Hoops’ boss Ian Holloway has no intention of letting him leave.

The thirty-one year old, who captains the Championship outfit is out of contract at the end of the season, though is seen as a valuable member of Holloway’s squad with his experience an asset to younger players.

Onuoha moved to Loftus Road from Manchester City in January 2012 and has since racked up one hundred and thirty-one appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring five goals while he was part of the squad that won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2014.

Internationally, he was capped twenty times for England’s U21s, scoring twice but is yet to receive a senior call up.
