Burnley fail in double Hendrick bid

Premier League newcomers Burnley have failed in two bids for Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick, according to the Mail Online.

Hull City are also interesting in securing the services of the twenty-four year old, who impressed with Republic of Ireland at this summer’s European Championships in France.

However, the Rams will not let him go without a fight as they look to secure promotion back to the Premier League at the ninth time of asking.

Hendrick has spent his whole senior career so far with Derby, racking up over two hundred appearances since breaking into the first team during the 2010/11 campaign.

He has been capped twenty-five times by his country, with his latest appearance coming in their round of sixteen defeat to France two weeks ago.

Burnley have also been linked with a move for Stoke City’s Charlie Adam as they look to fill the void left by Joey Barton, who has signed for Rangers.
