Burnley are interested in signing Harry Wilson from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that the Clarets are closing in on securing the services of the winger, and that talks are going on between the two clubs.
Sean Dyche’s side are reported to be discussing paying £15 million as transfer fee for Wilson, who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Bournemouth. The 23-year-old has been at Liverpool since 2005, but the winger has failed to establish himself in the Reds’ first team, and has been out on loan at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County and Bournemouth over the years.
Liverpool have recently signed Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and it is going to be extremely tough for Wilson to get much playing time at Anfield this season. With the Wales international now 23 years of age and having yet to make an impact at the Reds, it would make sense for him to find a new club where he can grow and have a future at.
