Burnley interested in Young

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Burnley are in talks to sign Ashley Young on what would be a one-year contract with the Clarets.

It comes after news broke that Danny Rose is now in talks with Watford, prompting the speculation that Ashley Young will no longer be heading back to his boyhood club. Young’s representatives were previously in talks with Watford over a one year deal following their return to the Premier League, with Inter Milan also offering him a one year contract to stay in Italy.

Beyond that there are three Premier League clubs he can go to if he decides to do so, but right now, he’s weighing up his options and seeing what would be best for the twilight of his career.

Burnley, given their consistency in the top flight, would likely welcome the experience of someone like Young who knows how to get the job done in English football.
