Burnley seal Robinson deal

Burnley have signed former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson until the end of the season, according to the Mail Online.

The thirty-six year old has been without a club since leaving Blackburn Rovers in the summer, but has now joined up with the Lancashire side’s fierce rivals on a short term deal.

Robinson racked up just over two hundred appearances in all competitions for Rovers over a seven year period while he has also played for Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United – winning the League cup for the former in 2008.

Internationally, he was capped forty-one times for his country and was part of their squad’s for the 2004 European Championships in Portugal and the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

He joins a Burnley side who currently sit in third place in the Championship, four points behind second place Middlesbrough and a further point off leaders Hull City.
