Burnley have completed the signing of Phil Bardsley from Stoke City, according to the Mail Online.
The full-back has completed a £1.5m move from the Potters, with half of that fee paid upfront and another half due to the selling club should certain performance related add-ons be triggered.
He joins on a two year contract, and reunited with forward Jonathan Walters who also swapped the Bet 365 Stadium for Turf Moor this summer.
Bardsley played six times for Burnley in a loan spell during the 2005/06 season – one of a number of temporary stints he had during the five years he spent at Manchester United earlier in his career.
He signed for Sunderland half way through the 2007/08 campaign and went on to make two hundred appearances for the Black Cats before moving to Stoke in the summer of 2014.
He played sixty-two times for Mark Hughes’ side, scoring twice.
