Burnley have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City, in a deal believed to be worth around £3.5 million. The Clarets have been in talks over Hart moving to Turf Moor for a while now, with many City fans expecting his departure ever since his drop in form.
The deal will initially be for two years, although there’s obviously a chance that they could extend that depending on how successful the 31-year-old is there. Hart was once considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Europe with his many top displays for City garnering a great deal of praise.
In recent years, however, he’s been shipped out on loan to Torino and West Ham United after failing to maintain the kind of consistency necessary for him to keep his spot in the City line-up. Hart will be hoping to feature either on Thursday night in the Europa League or against Southampton at the weekend.
