Premier League strugglers Burnley have submitted an official proposal for AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The newly-promoted side slipped into the relegation zone having scored mere 8 goals in 12 matches and no wonder they are desperate to sign a high-quality centre forward.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Clarets have made Giampaolo Pazzini their number one target and have already sent an offer to his employers.
The experienced forward is likely to be tempted by the proposal from Turf Moor having mostly been restricted to substitute appearances this season.
Pazzini, 30, is still held in high regard by a number of Serie A sides, with Torino reportedly considering a January bid for his services.
The highly rated striker has spent his entire career up to date in Italy, representing Atalanta, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Inter and Milan, and chances are he would be interested in a fresh challenge.
