Premier League outfit Burnley made an attempt to land Puma’s star Nicolas Castillo during the summer transfer window and are expected to reignite their interest in the Chilean hotshot during winter.
The 24-year-old forward was on brink of signing for the English club but the deal fell through at the last minute due to a visa issue.
The Chilean media outlet CDF now claims that Burnley are plotting a January return for the player who scored eight goals in just 11 league outings for the Mexican club last season. His impressive showings have gained plenty of attention from European clubs and Castillo is widely expected to move across the pond sooner or later.
With their bid for Nicolas Castillo falling through Burnley eventually ended up landing Chris Wood and Nakhi Wells, but are said to be eyeing another go at the Pumas player in January providing they can solve the visa problem.
