Busquets signs new contract

Sergio Busquets has signed a new contract with Barcelona, after much speculation over his future. The new deal will keep the Spaniard at the club until at least 2023, and at the age of 30, there’s a chance that could solidify that he’ll remain at the Nou Camp until the end of his career. Many fans were wondering whether or not the club would be able to get the deal over the line, but they’ve managed to get it done – which will serve as a nice distraction for fans after their disappointing loss to Leganes.

Busquets is considered to be one of the more controversial players in La Liga, given his tendency to dive and play act over the years. Still, that doesn’t take away from the fact that he’s an incredibly talented footballer, as he prepares to move into the prime of his career at the heart of the Barcelona midfield.
