Jack Butland has extended his stay with Championship leaders Derby County for a further seven days, according to TalkSport.
The Stoke City shot-stopper was drafted in by Rams boss Steve McClaren as cover for Lee Grant, who has missed the last five league games with an ankle injury.
With the ex-Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday keeper not yet cleared to be fit for Saturday’s trip to fellow promotion hopefuls Watford, Butland is set to make a sixth appearance for the East Midlands club, having kept clean sheets in two of his previous five outings.
Derby, who lost in the final of the Championship Play-Offs to Queens Park Rangers back in May, thrashed Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-0 last time out to tighten their grip on top spot in the second tier.
They lead second place Bournemouth by a point, and can now be backed at a price of 9/4 to win the division outright.
