Buttner reveals new contract talks; Traore leaves Milan for Turkey

hot-transfer-newsButtner reveals new contract talks

Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner seems to have come to terms with staying at Old Trafford after missing out on a loan move to Besiktas.

The Red Devils were prepared to farm out the defender on loan as Fabio Coentrao appeared to be on his way to Manchester, but both deals failed to materialize.

Despite being disappointed with the failed switch, Buttner admits he has been reassured by boss David Moyes.

“I had a good talk with Moyes on Wednesday,” the 24-year-old confessed to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

“He told me that I would play enough games at Manchester United this season. He absolutely did not want me to leave.”

The highly rated defender also revealed that he was in talks over a new contract at Old Trafford.

“I obviously had a good season last term. The club have also seen it that way. It is an honour for me that they want to talk about my contract.”

Alexander Buttner made a total of 13 competitive appearances for the Red Devils last season, scoring 2 goals in the process.

Traore leaves Milan for Turkey

Italian giants AC Milan have announced on their official website that Malian midfielder Bakaye Traore has joined Kayserispor.

The 28-year-old arrives at Kadir Has Stadium on a season-long loan, having failed to play himself back into the plans of Rossoneri boss Max Allegri.

Traore started his career at Amiens, where he amassed more than 100 league appearances during the seven years at the club.

After impressing in French Ligue 2, the midfielder made a switch to Nancy and went on to score 11 goals in 73 Ligue 1 matches for the club.

Milan then snatched the player on a free transfer in the summer of 2012, but the Malian never managed to live up to the billing at San Siro.

Having earned just one Serie A start during his time at the club, Traore is set to embark on a new challenge.

Roma in failed Cvitanich bid

French newspaper Le 10 Sport has revealed that Roma were on the verge of signing Argentine forward Dario Cvitanich from Nice in the final moments of the summer transfer window.

After seeing Pablo Osvaldo leave for Southampton, the Giallorossi boss Rudi Garcia attempted to sign him a replacement, expressing his interest in Ligue 1 stars Bafetimbi Gomis and Dario Cvitanich.

And while the Lyon striker was not too keen on joining Roma, Cvitanich was prepared to pull all the stops to sign for the Stadio Olimpico outfit.

However, neither boss Claude Puel nor the club chiefs were prepared to part ways with their prized asset, which eventually saw the deal fall through.

Following several very disappointing seasons, Dario Cvitanich finally managed to kick-start his career in French Ligue 1.

The 29-year-old went on to score 19 goals in 29 league matches for les Aiglons last term, attracting admiring glances from top European clubs in the process.
