Bundesliga and Serie A heavyweights Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are said to be locked in battle over the signature of Argentine midfielder Maximiliano Meza.
Fox Sports understands that the Independiente attacking midfielder has a €10 million release clause in his deal which runs until 2020, adding that both the German and Italian sides are keen on acquiring his services this summer.
Independiente are hoping that a growing interest in their player will result in a higher fee and are looking to pocket anywhere between €25 and €30 million for the 26-year-old who made 20 appearances this term.
Maximiliano Meza is a versatile midfielder who can fit in a number of roles in the final third as well, playing as a winger or a second striker.
He has thus far scored three goals for his club and recorded three further assists.
