Despite initially claiming they won’t let Julian Weigl leave during the January transfer market, Borussia Dortmund appear to changes their stance.
The 23-year-old German international is one of Europe’s most promising youngsters who endured a difficult start to the season at Dortmund, making just four league appearances.
According to the reports coming from Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund will open transfer negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain as Thomas Tuchel insists on reuniting with the player he worked with at Signal Iduna Park.
Dortmund were reluctant to let him go but now look resigned to lose him as PSG are ready to put their full weight behind the January bid.
It is understood that Tottenham Hotspur also made an approach for Julian Weigl but PSG are firmly behind the wheel in a race to sign the talented midfielder.
Weigl’s contract with BVB runs until 2021.
