Byram set for Forest switch

Talksport understands that Nottingham Forest are on the verge of signing Sam Byram on a season-long loan from West Ham United.

The Championship outfit have been busy in the transfer market this close season already agreeing deals for former England international Michael Dawson and Portuguese trio Diogo Goncalves, Joao Carvalho and Gil Dias.

They are now set to add Byram to their squad for the forthcoming season with the full-back deemed surplus to requirements by new Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The twenty-four-year-old moved to West Ham from Leeds United in January 2016 and has since racked up thirty-six appearances in all competitions but only five of those came in the Premier League last season and just two of those were starts.

Prior to his switch to the East London outfit Byram spent more than a decade at Elland Road playing for them almost one hundred and fifty times, scoring ten goals.
