Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye has refused to deny the possibility of leaving the Saints in January.
Despite arriving as a big name signing from Newcastle, the France international has struggled for playing time at Parc des Princes.
And while he remains adamant he will not request a transfer, Cabaye is clearly unhappy with the current situation.
He has now moved to suggest that he could be leaving the Saints in the near future, with England obviously the preferred destination.
“This is a question I do not ask myself, especially today. The situation at the club is what it is,” the midfielder told Canal +.
“I love England and it is not a surprise if I say that. Today I am in Paris but I’m not likely to give up. I will fight as I should to deserve what I deserve.
“Afterwards, if the situation stays like that… But now I don’t think about a transfer.”
Yohan Cabaye made quite an impact in English Premier League during the two and a half years at St James Park, scoring 17 goals in 79 league outings.
He opted to leave the Magpies for PSG in January 2013, but has since started just 15 Ligue 1 matches for the French giants.
Cabaye has been repeatedly linked with a return to England and with the winter transfer window around the corner, the transfer speculations continue to mount.
