Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Newcastle star Yohan Cabaye, reports the Daily Mirror.
Sir Alex Ferguson is still searching for a long-term replacement for Paul Scholes and the latest reports suggest he is set to make a move on the French midfielder.
Cabaye, 27, is valued at £20 million by Newcastle chiefs, and nobody at the club wants to see him leave in the summer.
The France international has become a key player for the Magpies shortly after arriving in a cut-price deal from Lille, and his stock has risen a great deal over the last year or so.
Cabaye has scored 6 goals and produced 2 assists in 20 Premier League matches this term, while featuring in 9 Europa League games as well.
He is believed to be very happy with life at St James Park, but it remains to be seen if he would be able to resist temptation to join one of Europe’s top clubs.
