(GSM) – VfB Stuttgart striker Cacau has committed to the Bundesliga side by signing a new deal at the club.
The Germany international was widely expected to leave Stuttgart at the end of the season once his contract expired.
And a number of clubs, including Blackburn Rovers, were credited with an interest in Cacau’s services, however he has now done a U-turn and signed a new three-year deal.
Stuttgart’s sporting director Horst Heldt was delighted to secure the future of Cacau.
“We always wanted Cacau to stay with us, so we’re very happy that that’s now the case,” said Heldt.
