Martin Caceres says Juventus are hungry for more silverware after winning the Serie A title in the 2011/12 campaign.

The versatile defender acknowledged things will not be easy for the Turin giants in the new season as they will now also be competing in Europe, but he is determined to fight for top honours once more after last term’s successes.

“It will be different to last season,” Caceres said.

“We’ll be playing in the Champions League and it’s a very difficult competition. Having said that, we’ve got great desire and hunger to do as well as possible.”

The Uruguay international said he feels Juventus coach Antonio Conte has a similar mentality to his former trainer Barcelona, Pep Guardiola.

“I see similarities between them,” he said.

“Conte is a very ambitious coach and we can go far with him at the helm. Our style of play is different to Barcelona’s, but the ambition and desire to win remain the same.”

Juventus start the new season with the Supercoppa Italiana match versus Napoli on August 11.
