If reports from the Spanish media outlet Grada 3 are to be believed, the Premier League high-flying side Manchester United are hot on the trail of Cadiz midfielder Alvaro Garcia.
The Premier League heavyweights are believed to have already opened negotiations with the representatives of the 24-year-old attacking midfielder who is seen as the next big thing in Spanish football.
Jose Mourinho has reportedly had his trusted scouts keeping a close watch on the second-tier side’s star over the past few weeks. Alvaro Garcia is said to have left a positive impression on Manchester United emissaries with two goals in four games in the new campaign.
What is more, the aforementioned source reports that Manchester United are secretly negotiating a January deal for Garcia who signed a new deal with his club last month.
The 24-year-old Spanish midfielder has an €8 million buy-out clause which United would have no problems activating during winter.
Garcia is a versatile footballer who can fill in a number of positions in the midfield, whereas he is quite comfortable on either the left or right wing which are the positions Jose Mourinho wants to reinforce.
