Competition: Ligue 1
Market: Caen and Toulouse to draw
Odds: 15/8 @ Bet365
Two teams that have spent the majority of the season battling it out at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table, on Wednesday night Caen and Toulouse will look to extend their gap over the relegation zone.
For Patrice Garande’s struggling Caen side, coming off the back of a 1-1 draw against bottom side Metz last weekend to finally end their five matches losing run, much like last season where they only avoided the drop by a single place, Caen’s have struggled at the foot of the Ligue 1 table and while they may hold a six-pont buffer over the drop zone with five games remaining, Garande will be looking over his shoulder. along with not keeping a clean sheet since the start of March, they also now hold the worst attacking statistics in the whole of the division.
As for Mickaël Debève’s Toulouse side, while they had also embarked on their own disappointing form at the foot of the table, Toulouse are coming off the back of a 2-0 win at Angers and will be desperate to pick up some late points as they’re now just placed one spot above the bottom two. Much like their hosts on Wednesday night, Toulouse now hold the second worst attacking stats in Ligue 1 and have drawn three of their last four matches on the road this year.
