(GSM) – Cagliari have announced Massimilliano Allegri is free to become the new coach of Milan.

It was already public Allegri would take over at Milan for some time but the club is still in a legal battle with the Sardinians after he was fired towards the end of the season.

“I spoke to Vice-President Adriano Galliani today and there are no problems,” assured Cagliari patron Massimo Cellino.

“I keep my word and the fact we are presenting Pierpaolo Bisoli to the media effectively means Allegri is free to go to Milan.

“I have handed everything over to director general Marroccu, who is negotiating with Allegri to rescind the contract.”
