Everton’s Tim Cahill believes his side has what it takes to get their season back on track after another defeat on Sunday.
Everton are 10th having won just three of their past 10 matches this league season and Cahill says consistency and focus will get the squad some positive results.
“For me and the club it is about being consistent and maintaining that and trying to see where we finish,” the Socceroo told Sky Sports.
“With our squad and the team we have got we are doing pretty well.”
“We nearly always come good all the time so it is more about taking it one game at a time and making sure we stay focussed on what is important and that is basically getting results – whether it is a draw or a win.”
Next up for Everton is a trip to the Emirates to face a resurgent Arsenal side and having already faced the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and arch-rivals Liverpool, the 32-year-old knows that there is still plenty of matches to go, as well as a lot more drama.
“The run of games was always going to be difficult,” Cahill said.
“You can see how well teams like Swansea have stepped up, but it is such a long season and there is still 30 games to go.”
“I’m pretty sure there is going to be loads more to talk about from now until the end of the season.”
