Chelsea are set to refuse a request from defender Gary Cahill to leave the club, according to the Daily Star.
The centre-back has fallen out of favour under Guus Hiddink, playing just twice since the Dutchman returned to Stamford Bridge and is keen to play more regularly with Euro 2016 around the corner.
Cahill, who moved to the Blues from Bolton Wanderers four years ago, penned a new contract with the Blues just before Christmas and is not likely to be allowed to leave this month as the champions look to charge up the table.
The thirty year old has played one hundred and seventy-seven times in all competitions during his time in West London, scoring fifteen goals and has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and Champions League.
He also has forty caps for England, and was part of the squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
