(GSM) – Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart may have to miss several matches after suffering a calf injury in Sunday’s league game with Real Mallorca.
Only 18 minutes had been played at Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium, when Van der Vaart needed to be stretchered off.
Tests pointed out that the player suffered a calf injury, although it is still uncertain how serious it is.
Madrid went on to beat Mallorca 2-0, with goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Esteban Granero.
