Robert Nouzaret is no longer manager of the Guinean national team. The Frenchman is to be replaced with former Liverpool forward Titi Camara.

“We have decided to stop working with Nouzaret after the recent poor results,” said Guinean Sports Minister Fodeba Isto Keira.

“We have taken this decision for Nouzaret’s own security. He no longer got on with the players or the supporters.”

Camara ended his playing career in 2006, having spent time at teams as Olympique de Marseille and Liverpool. The former striker also made 38 appearances for the national team.

Guinea lost their first two games in the final round of the African World Cup Qualifiers, to Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast respectively.
