Cambiasso set for new Leicester deal

Leicester City are set to reward star midfielder Esteban Cambiasso with a new and improved deal, according to Hinckley Times.

The Foxes produced quite a coup by winning the race for the Argentine footballer in the summer, who in turn signed a one-year contract at King Power.

As expected, the former Inter Milan star had a great start to his career in England, and he has already persuaded club chiefs to offer him a new deal.

Cambiasso has had an excellent impact on the dressing room atmosphere and has also established himself as a true leader in Nigel Pearson’s side.

The 34-year-old plans to stay in England and pursue a coaching career once he hangs up his boots, and is relishing the opportunity to influence younger players at King Power.

After taking just one point from last five Premier League fixtures, the Foxes face a tricky away tie at St Mary’s, and they are 6/1 to shock high-flying Southampton.
