Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi has extended his contract with the Old Lady until 2011, the club confirmed on Thursday evening.

The Italian international agreed to a deal after talks with Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, chief executive Jean Claude Blanc and sporting director Alessio Secco.

“We value the report this player has with Juventus, he is very determined for this club and he has continued to show his qualities in Europe and in Serie A, and we are delighted that he will be wearing the shirt for another season,” Blanc told the club’s official website.

Camoranesi said this, on his new deal: “It’s an important day, I came to Turin in 2002 and I am honoured to be able to wear the shirt for nine seasons.

“It’s not easy playing at the highest levels for so long but I am convinced that we will achieve great satisfactions together.”
