Veteran Italy midfielder Mauro Camoranesi is poised to join Stuttgart in a deal that could be concluded on Monday, media reports suggested here.
“We are waiting on the medical, but it’s looking good for Camoranesi,” Stuttgart’s sporting director Fredi Bobic was quoted as saying.
The 34-year-old Juventus player had been in talks to join English Premier League side Birmingham City but the move fell through over tax issues.
Stuttgart have targeted the 2006 World Cup winner as a replacement for Sami Khedira, who has joined Real Madrid.
