Campeonato Paulista: Santos 2 Sao Paolo 0

Santos will defend their Campeonato Paulista title, after reaching the final courtesy of their 2-0 win over Sao Paolo on Saturday.

Goals from Elano and Ganso at the Estadio do Murumbi helped the champions progress.

Elano, a former Manchester City midfielder, completed Ganso’s cross on the hour mark to put Santos ahead, before the latter himself scored in a counter-attack in the 72nd minute, firing home from the edge of the area.

Santos will face Palmeiras or Corinthians in the final.
