Charles scored a hat-trick as Americana jumped to the top of the Campeonato Paulista with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Noroeste.

Leonardo and Jorge Luiz also scored in the rout, while Aleilson got his name on the scoresheet for Noroeste.

Mirassol moved equal on points with second-placed Santos after they accounted for Oeste 1-0 at the Estadio dos Amaros.

Gustavo Bastos scored the winner for Mirassol seven minutes before the break.

Santo Andre and Ituano exchanged late second-half goals in their 1-1 draw at Estadio Bruno Jose Daniel.

The visitors took the lead in the 72nd minute when Anderson Salles scored, but Edilson equalised for Santo Andre eight minutes later.
