Can ‘honored’ by Juventus link

Emre Can has revealed that he was honored to be linked with a move to Juventus in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Germany international was eyed by the Serie A champions in the close season and is set to be once more with just nine months remaining on his current deal.

That means that once January arrives he will be able to open talks with foreign clubs should a new contract at Anfield not have been agreed.

Can has started five of Liverpool’s seven league games this season, and both fixtures in the Champions League proving his worth to manager Jurgen Klopp, who is unlikely to let him go without a fight.

Since signing from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2014 Can has racked up one hundred and thirty-eight appearances in all competitions, scoring ten goals while in 2016 he was named as the club’s Young Player of the Year.
