Can rejected Manchester United

“I had three Premier League deals alone, including one from Manchester United,” he said. “But I didn’t think about that for a second because of my Liverpool past”.

Those are the words of Emre Can who has confirmed that he did not contemplate a move to Manchester United as a direct result of his former days with Liverpool. The Juventus midfielder, who is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, spent four years at Anfield prior to leaving back in 2018.

There had been rumours suggesting that a return to the Premier League could be imminent for the German international, but now, we know that the rivalry between the Reds and the Red Devils is indeed as strong as it always has been.

At this stage, it’s not yet known whether or not Can will decide to stay at Dortmund beyond his current loan spell – but either way, his future will continue to be a source of great discussion.
